Motorized Louvered Pergolas in Round Rock
Louvers open for winter sun, angle for summer shade and close for rain, from one remote. The most versatile roof you can put over a Williamson County patio, and the one that finally makes a west-facing backyard usable in every season.

How a Louvered Roof Works
One remote, three roofs.
Interlocking aluminum louvers pivot on a motorized shaft. Open, you get sky and airflow. Angled, you block the sun and keep the breeze. Closed, the louvers seal and channel water into gutters built into the beams and down through the posts. With a rain sensor, the roof closes itself at the first drops.
For Round Rock this solves what a fixed cover can’t: you want the sun in January and not in July. It’s the premium option and priced like one, and it’s the structure customers tell us they use every day.
- Sun, shade or rain protection on demand
- Integrated gutters and downspouts
- Attached or freestanding
- LED lighting, fans, heaters and screens
- Rain and wind sensors
- Powder-coated and wood-grain finishes

Is It Worth the Price?
Sometimes clearly yes, sometimes clearly no. Here’s the line.
West- or south-facing patio, and you want to use it in both January and July: a louvered roof earns its cost. Patio that’s shaded most of the day, or you simply want maximum shade for the least money: an insulated aluminum cover is the smarter spend. We’ll walk through both with real numbers.

Louvered Pergola FAQ
How much does a louvered pergola cost?
Typically two to three times a fixed aluminum cover of the same size, plus electrical, screens and lighting. Fixed quote after measuring.
Is it watertight?
Closed louvers interlock and drain to built-in gutters. In heavy wind-driven rain some spray can enter at the open sides, as with any open-sided structure.
What if the power goes out?
Louvers stay put. Most systems have a manual override and some offer battery backup. Rain sensors close the roof before a storm when power is on.
What maintenance is there?
Rinse the louvers and clear the gutters a couple of times a year. Motors and controls carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
Permit and HOA?
Attached systems need a Round Rock permit and engineering; HOAs typically approve them readily because of the clean look. We handle both.
