Decks, Patios & Concrete Slabs in Round Rock
Round Rock builders pour small slabs. Covers need bigger ones. We extend or replace patios in plain, colored or stamped concrete, lay pavers and build composite decks, sized for the structure going over them so the posts land right the first time.

Size the Slab for the Cover, Not the Other Way Around
Extending later costs more than doing it now.
The typical Round Rock builder patio is 10 by 10 or 12 by 12. Homeowners want a cover that spans the house. So we design the slab to the cover’s footprint, place footings where the posts go, slope it away from the house and finish it in the material you want, in the same project as the structure.
We also do the work on its own: replacing a cracked slab, pavers around a pool, a composite deck off a raised door on a sloped lot.
- Concrete patios, plain, colored or stamped
- Post footings in the slab
- Travertine and concrete pavers
- Composite and wood decks
- Steps, borders and drainage
- Driveway extensions and carport pads

Drainage Decides Everything
A patio that slopes toward the house is a foundation claim waiting to happen.
Round Rock’s clay soils move. We reinforce slabs, use proper base depth, slope away from the house, add drains where the yard traps water and make sure the cover’s downspouts discharge somewhere sensible. Boring details that decide whether the patio looks the same in ten years.

Decks & Concrete FAQ, Round Rock
Can you extend my patio?
Yes. We tie new to old with proper joints and match the finish, or resurface both for a uniform look.
Stamped concrete or pavers?
Stamped is less expensive and seamless; pavers cost more, handle soil movement better and are replaceable. Both work under covers.
How thick should the slab be?
Typically four inches reinforced for a patio, thicker at footings and for driveways. Sized to the structure and the soil.
How soon can the cover go up after pouring?
About a week of cure before posts go up. We schedule accordingly.
Do patios need a permit?
Flatwork alone often doesn’t, but footings for a permitted structure are inspected under that permit. We check your lot.
